3. Key Performance Advantages
Better whitening effect than OB-1: It achieves remarkable whitening and brightening effects on PET, PC, ABS, PVC, polyamide and other materials, effectively covering yellowing of substrates and significantly improving whiteness.
Low dosage and cost-effective: The normal dosage is only 0.01%–0.05% by weight of raw materials. The upper limit is recommended for products requiring high whiteness, which is far lower than common fluorescent brighteners.
Excellent heat resistance for plastic processing: It can withstand temperatures above 280 °C. Suitable for high-temperature processes including injection molding, extrusion, film blowing and fiber spinning, without decomposition, yellowing or migration.
Grade 8 light and weather fastness: Resistant to UV rays, sunlight and weather aging. It will not fade or turn grey during long-term outdoor use, ideal for outdoor plastic products and synthetic fibers.
Good compatibility: It is highly compatible with polyester, polyamide, polyacrylonitrile, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), silk, wool fabrics and more. No bleeding or extraction occurs, and it will not affect the mechanical properties and transparency of finished products.
4. Application Scope
Plastics: PET films, PC/ABS engineering plastics, PVC products, injection molded parts, extruded profiles, blown films and PPS products.
Synthetic fibers: Whitening and brightening for polyester fibers, polyester blended fabrics, polyamide (nylon) and polyacrylonitrile.
Others: Silk fabrics, wool fabrics, coatings and natural varnishes. It can be added directly or in the form of masterbatch (concentration: 2%–5%) to adapt to various production processes.
5. Application Method
Dosage: Add 0.01%–0.05% of KSN by weight of plastic or fiber raw materials. The dosage can be moderately increased for recycled materials or dark systems, not exceeding 0.1%.
Mixing: Mix KSN thoroughly with raw materials at high speed for 5–10 minutes before injection molding, extrusion, fiber spinning or film blowing for uniform dispersion. Alternatively, prepare fluorescent brightener masterbatch in advance for better dispersion.
Processing Temperature: Keep the temperature below 280 °C and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperature.
