3. Key Performance Features
High whitening efficiency with low dosage: The recommended dosage is only 0.005%–0.05% by weight of raw materials, much lower than traditional brighteners. It greatly improves whiteness, enhances vividness and effectively covers substrate yellowing.
Superior heat resistance for high-temperature processing: It withstands temperatures above 280 °C. Suitable for injection molding, extrusion, film blowing and other high-temperature processes without decomposition, yellowing or migration.
Excellent light and weather fastness: Rated Grade 8 for light fastness. It resists UV rays, sunlight and weathering, and will not fade or turn grey after long-term service, making it ideal for outdoor products.
Excellent compatibility: It has great compatibility with PVC, EVA, TPR, PU foam, PP, PE, ABS, PC, polyester, polyamide and other resins. It does not react with foaming agents or crosslinkers, causes no bleeding or extraction, and keeps intact the mechanical properties and transparency of finished products.
Wide application for special scenarios: It delivers outstanding performance on EVA/PE foamed plastics, and can whiten recycled PP/PE materials to relieve yellowing issues.
4. Application Scope
Plastics: PVC films, calendered films, injection molded parts, extruded profiles, foamed PVC, EVA foams, TPR elastomers, PU foams, PP/PE films and woven bags, ABS/PC engineering plastics and PPS products.
Synthetic fibers: Whitening and brightening for polyester fibers, polyester blended fabrics, polyamide (nylon) and polyacrylonitrile.
Others: Coatings, natural varnishes, silk and wool fabrics. It can be added directly or in the form of masterbatch to fit various production processes.
5. Application Method
Dosage: Add 0.005%–0.05% of KSB by weight of plastic or fiber raw materials. Use the upper limit for light-coloured products requiring high whiteness. The dosage can be moderately increased for dark products or recycled materials, with a maximum of 0.1%.
Mixing: Blend KSB with raw materials at high speed for 5–10 minutes before processing (injection molding, extrusion, spinning, film blowing) to ensure uniform dispersion. It is also available to prepare masterbatch with a concentration of 2%–5% in advance for better dispersion.
Processing Temperature: Keep the temperature below 280 °C and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperature.
